Support

for

Parents of

Gifted &

Twice-Exceptional

Children

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

The Discovery

Discovering your child is gifted can be thrilling and overwhelming.

You might be asking:

  • What does their identification really mean?

  • Are their needs being met in school?

  • How do I help them thrive—academically, emotionally, and socially?

Whether your child is newly identified, navigating multiple diagnoses, or simply different from day one, you’re not alone. I’ve been there—as both a parent and a professional.

My Approach

I support families with a mix of lived experience, research-based strategies, and deep knowledge of how school systems work. Whether you’re trying to decode an evaluation, advocate for services, or just make sense of your child’s intensities, I’ll meet you where you are—with empathy, clarity, and practical tools.

My coaching for parents is:

  • Collaborative – You are the expert on your child. I help you clarify what’s working and what’s not.

  • Personalized – Every child is different. Your support plan should be, too.

  • Empowering – You’ll walk away with knowledge, confidence, and actionable next steps.

Who I Work With

I support parents and caregivers who are:

  • Just starting to explore whether their child might be gifted or twice-exceptional

  • Navigating a new Highly Capable or 2e identification

  • Struggling to get appropriate support or services from schools

  • Trying to balance academic needs with emotional and behavioral challenges

  • Seeking insight into their child’s asynchronous development or intensities

  • Looking for enrichment, resources, or just a supportive sounding board

No matter where you are on your gifted parenting journey—I can help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

What I Can Help You Do

Here are a few ways we can work together:

  • Understand your child’s neurodiverse profile

  • Navigate school identification processes (including Highly Capable/GT testing)

  • Prepare for and participate in school meetings (IEPs, 504s, parent-teacher conferences)

  • Advocate effectively without burning bridges

  • Develop strategies for emotional regulation, executive functioning, and sensory needs

  • Build home routines that support your gifted learner’s strengths and needs

  • Connect with enrichment, curriculum, or learning resources that fit your child

I also help families who haven’t yet pursued testing or school-based services but want help recognizing gifted traits and deciding on next steps.

Let’s Work Together

Whether your child is struggling, soaring, or both—I’m here to help you make sense of it all.

Together, we’ll figure out what your child truly needs and how to help others see and support them, too.

Real Stories from Families

A Kindergartener, Bored and Brilliant

A bright, eager kindergartener was struggling in class—not because he couldn’t learn, but because he needed more. Together, we built a plan that gave his parents the tools to advocate effectively for his learning needs.

“We were at a loss—our son was bored and frustrated, and no one seemed to see the incredible potential in him. With your help, we finally understood what he needed and how to ask for it. We’re so grateful you helped us find our voice—and his.”
